Contemporary World Politics and the role of UNO

When we discuss world politics we can see the strong presence of International Institution specially UNO and its diplomatic role in reshaping world politics and international relations as well as reducing conflicts and establishing peace between the countries.

After the second world war, which resulted as the deadliest conflict in human history, we can see the establishment of the United Nations. The main objective behind the establishment of the UN was to reduce conflicts, promoting peace and fostering development in the war affected countries. Though after the first World War the League of Nations was founded but it failed to reduce the war aftermath issues and the Second World War broke out.

But after the formation of the United Nations, the conflicts between the countries have been reduced significantly. Moreover the UN, introduced various international institutions like the International Monetary Fund which is associated with the Balance of payment and fixed exchange rate of the countries as well as the World Bank which provides financial support to the countries for their development. Apart from these the UN conducts a number of treaties among the countries to maintain peace and cooperation. But during the present time, we can see the emergence of a number of serious conflicts between various which leads to the global concern and may lay down the path for the emergence of the third world war.
