Expert shares tips on sowing, growing seeds

Gardening involves more than just watering the lawn or pruning plants - it starts with planting and growing flowers or vegetables.
Paul Vonk from Mayford visited Polokwane on November 5 to educate his guests about effective seed sowing. "As a child, almost everyone learns how to grow a seed using cotton wool, but very few people learn about the process after that," he explained. Vonk emphasised that seeds require water, oxygen and light or heat to germinate.
"Seed packets are hermetically sealed to prevent air, moisture and heat from affecting the seeds.
