Equipping youths with Al, robotics skills

Young innovators from underserved backgrounds in Limpopo have been recognised for their groundbreaking creations at the inaugural RoboRumble STEM Innovation Challenge and competition, hosted by AlgoAtWork over the past four months.
Young Limpopo innovators win third place in the life-saving solutions, Koketso Malaji, Tshepo Makula and Freddy Maisha Seabela.
CEO Livingstone Mpahlele told Polokwane Observer that the student-centred competition aimed to ignite technical excellence and bridge South Africa's digital divide by equipping underserved youth with practical skills in robotics, coding, AI and automation.
"By promoting hands-on projects in IoT, robotics, AI, and automation, the competition allows participants to hone their skills and gain the experience needed to thrive in a rapidly advancing technological world," he said.
