Autism Awareness Day at Lilo and Stitch Centre

Lilo and Stitch Autism Centre and Daycare, in partnership with Autism SA and the Bana ba Thari Foundation, hosted a successful Autism Awareness Day at the APD premises last Saturday.
The event brought together professionals, parents and supporters to educate and celebrate children who have autism. Representing the centre were Krista Bunting and her mother, Erna Slement. Mapitso Masha represented the Bana ba Thari Foundation, while Belinda Sikwane attended on behalf of Autism SA.
The day was designed with both fun and learning in mind. Children enjoyed colourful jumping castles set up on the lawn, providing a joyful and inclusive environment throughout the event.
Several local businesses and initiatives exhibited at the event, including:
• Braingain: Offering neurofeedback and attention training for children who have autism.
