PKC pulled off 'ambitious' £150m CTLR project

I was pleased to see the Destiny bridge over the Tay open recently and with it the opening of the Cross Tay Link Road.

This vital infrastructure at the southernmost reaches of my constituency links the top of Scone at the A94 with the A9 and soon Bertha Park and the A9/A85.

I remember well the planning for this ambitious civil engineering feat while I served on Perth and Kinross Council between 2012 and 2019.

At that time, we were clear this was no ordinary council roads improvement, this was seriously ambitious strategic plan to open up of the North of Perth for development while at the same time relieving congestion and pollution in Perth city.

Atholl Street was Scotland forth most polluted road in Scotland then which was totally unacceptable.
