Killian Phillips headlines growing list of Saints stars making their mark on international stage

Stephen Robinson has described Killian Phillips' international recognition with the Republic of Ireland as “huge” for St Mirren.

The Buddies boss is ecstatic to see the all-action midfielder get the nod to perform for his country.

Phillips made his Ireland debut in the 1-1 draw with Senegal in Dublin before starting for the first time in a 0-0 draw at Luxembourg.

The 23-year-old is on duty again during this window as Ireland play Hungary tomorrow and Armenia on Tuesday in World Cup qualifiers.

He is one of four Buddies performing national service with Richard King set to feature for Jamaica in their World Cup qualifiers against Bermuda tonight and Trinidad & Tobago in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time.
