Double delight for Boulton and new ladies' queen crowned

Monday night saw the last tournament of the Paisley and District Darts League season as players gathered at Pockets Snooker Club to contest the Champion Of Champions Trophy.

In the early rounds, a few fancied players fell by the wayside as previous winners Paul Hanvidge of Clachan Arrows and Evander Stevenson of Hagg Bar A never made it to the last 16.

The first game of the last 16 saw Pockets A's Josh Leitch, one of the current doubles champions, beat Tartan Thunder captain George Millar 3-0.

Game two was between David Carmichael of Clachan Arrows and Clippens Inn's Robert Hunter and this game, too, ended in a 3-0 win in favour of the Arrows ace.

Pockets B player Thomas Park then took on Hagg Bar C captain John McCulloch and proved the better performer in a 3-0 victory.

Park's opponent in the last would be Rab McTavish from St Peters after his hard-fought 3-2 success over Scott Clavering from Midton Bowling Club — both players had chances to win the match.
