THAT ONE WAS FOR THE FANS

Stunner Richardson after his spectacular strike on Friday

Jayden Richardson has dedicated St Mirren's nerve-jangling Premier Sports Cup quarterfinal victory over Kilmarnock to the black-and-white army.

The Buddies advanced to the last four after beating the East Ayrshire side 5-3 on penalties in a Friday night cracker.

The sides were level at 2-2 at the end of extra time with Stephen Robinson's men holding their nerve when the tie was decided by spot-kicks.

Saints will now face Premiership rivals Motherwell at Hampden Park on the weekend of Saturday, November 1 to decide who will meet Celtic or Rangers in December's showpiece.

The Paisley side were backed by 2,252 fans at Rugby Park - and were twice in front.
