Property prices soaring across Renfrewshire

Research carried out by Zoopla has revealed Renfrewshire is the local authority area in Britain with the biggest proportion of homes increasing in value.

The property website estimates that 95 per cent of all homes in the council area increased in value in 2025.

The figure far exceeds the national average in which around half of all homes registered an increase in value of one per cent or more.

It put the average gain in value for Renfrewshire at £12,500, more than the UK average increase of £9,900 and the Scottish average increase in value of £10,400.

The news comes just weeks after another study by Zoopla named Paisley as a property hot spot for 2026.

The town was named third in a league table for places in the UK with the strongest prospects for house price growth in the next 12 months.

It was named amongst nine locations in Scotland which topped the UK-wide list.
