Freckleton shining at Saints

Miguel Freckleton says he got the lowdown on Scottish football from a former Hearts and Airdrie favourite.

The Buddies centre-back has impressed since joining in the summer for an undisclosed fee from Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield United. And he received words of advice on what he could expect in the Premiership north of the border from Jambos and Diamonds legend Kenny Black.

The highly respected and vastly experienced 61-year-old is loans manager at Bramall Lane, been a gaffer in his own right at Airdrie, and on a temporary basis at Motherwell where he was also an assistant, and been No 2 at Bradford City.
