Plans to relocate library when lease expires

Erskine Library is set to relocate to a temporary location when its lease expires next year-if the step is agreed by elected members, writes Jack Thomson, Local Democracy Reporter.
The facility will move from its current home in Bridgewater Place to a modular building that will be set up at Erskine Sports Centre in Kilpatrick Drive.
The arrangements will be considered by councillors at a meeting of Renfrewshire Council's leadership board today.
A local authority spokesperson said: "Due to the landlord advising we will not be able to renew the lease on the building, Erskine Library will require to relocate from May 2026.
