Paws-itive outcome for firm's bid to open dog daycare facility

Plans to convert a Johnstone engravers into a dog daycare facility have been given the seal of approval by Renfrewshire Council.
New lease of life K9 Haven will turn the former engravers building on Johnstone's Laighcartside Street into a dog daycare facility.
K9 Haven's bid for planning permission for a change of use in Laighcartside Street has been granted, subject to conditions, by the local authority.
The 640 square metre unit is expected to operate Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 6pm, and an ancillary grooming space will run on a Saturday.
A report of handling by the council explained: "This application seeks planning permission for the change of use of an engravers (class 4) to a dog daycare facility (sui generis) on Laighcartside Street, Johnstone.
