Paisley's business stars are awarded

Created by Paisley First, this year's awards saw ten certificates handed out to eight enterprises.

Accolades were awarded to a range of firms, from fledgling entrepreneurs to businesses with a long history and loyal following.

Firm favourite the Old Swan took the Buddies Best Business Award and was named the best place in Paisley for a night out.

Fellow hospitality venue Roasters took the best lunch venue and use of social media awards.

The creative industries also took a number of awards with Art Riot Studio named best new business in Paisley and Brown's Lane Creative Hub taking the Creative Cracker Award.

IVAD Gifts was recognised for its merchandising with the Best Window Display Award, while Kettle Black received the Best Paw Friendly Business Award, and The Works, the Friendliest Team Award.

And when it comes to looking after fellow Buddies, Stevie Weir Physiotherapy won the Feel Fantastic Award.

Jacqui McCaig, who runs the Old Swan, said was absolutely thrilled to see her Smithhills Street pub named the best night out.

The pub has long built a reputation for its warm welcome and roster of live music.

Jacqui told the Paisley First team: "I am chuffed to bits with this. We have won two awards, we have won best night out and best Buddie business, we are so thankful and so grateful.

"Thank you so much to everyone who has voted for us, we are really, really grateful.
