No denying PM's austerity agenda

You can be forgiven today for being confused about what is said and what reality is.

Some world leaders think if they say something then it makes it so; people will believe them without any examination or reflection.

Some can get away with this without rigorous examination.

The press used to challenge claims that even had a hint of looking a bit far fetched or being unsubstantiated. It seems this is happening less, though, today.

It seems that whatever is said is reported as truth, it seems only on rare occasions are statements challenged when they don’t suit the narrative of those actually reporting the claims. This can lead to very dangerous views being promoted as fact rather than positions, claims or allegations.

We really don’t have to look that far for examples. Many of us witnessed the claims of ‘no austerity’ under the new government at Westminster.
