Medics say avoid A&E if possible

Buddies are being urged to think carefully before bringing their children to A&E at the Royal Hospital for Children (RHC).

The hospital, which provides urgent care for children from Renfrewshire, says it has recently seen an influx in patients who would be better treated elsewhere.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde says the increase in demand, especially from those with seasonal illnesses and respiratory problems, has led to longer wait times for children.
