Leicester coach role for Parling

RUGBY U Leicester have appointed former player Geoff Parling as their new head coach on a long-term deal.

Virat Kohli, the former India captain and one of the most celebrated cricketers ever, has announced his retirement from Tests, saying: “I’ve given it everything I had.”

Parling, who won two Premiership titles with the Tigers during his playing career, will replace Michael Cheika ahead of next season.

The 41-year-old former England lock is currently an assistant coach to Joe Schmidt with Australia’s national team.
