Halloween fest deal to go before council

A contract for the popular Paisley Halloween Festival parade and town centre animation will go before councillors at a meeting today.

Elected members will be asked to authorise awarding the deal - worth in excess of £520,000 - to performance specialists Cirque Bijou at Renfrewshire Council's finance, resources and customer services policy board.

If given the green light by the local authority, the agreement is expected to begin in late May and run until the end of November next year. There is also an option to extend for another year.
