Volunteers make Renfrewshire

- Natalie Don SNP MSP for Renfrewshire North and West

Getting things Don

The importance of volunteers within our communities was highlighted during Volunteers’ Week which took place between the June 2 and June 8.

This was the 41st annual Volunteers’ Week, a time that allows us to honour the incredible contributions that volunteers make within our communities every day.

There are so many organisations — from large charities to small local community groups - which rely on volunteers to support the essential work that they do.

Having previously volunteered with Quarriers myself, I was delighted to catch up with this organisation recently to hear about their future plans, as well as the current work that they do to support people from different backgrounds.

The volunteers at Quarriers - and others that I have met from different charities and community groups across Renfrewshire North & West - all help to make a difference to our communities.

Every day you can see the impact that volunteers make.
