Food bank boss speaks to club

Members of Soroptimist International's Paisley branch were given a revealing insight into operations at Renfrewshire Foodbank.

At its final meeting before the summer break, the organisation welcomed Crystal Clayton, senior manager at Renfrewshire Foodbank, who provided an update on the work being done.

Crystal said the situation was worse now than ever before and that an evening distribution session had been introduced for people in work but still struggling.

She added people need a 'handhold' rather than a handout.
