Devoted nurses set to take the plunge to raise cash for young cancer patients

Laura Ritchie, who will take part in a skydive with a colleague, told how child patients and their families go through a tough time during treatment and said items such as iPads can help boost their spirits.

The paediatric nurses, who work with children including young cancer patients at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, said they'll use any funds raised to help their young patients. They have only raised over £2,000 and hope to go much further.

Laura, 23, said: "It would be absolutely amazing if we could raise a few thousand pounds - the more, the better.

"Our idea is to buy iPads which the children could use while going through their chemotherapy.
