Decade of City Deal success

It has been 10 years since the launch of the £1.13 billion City Deal and Renfrewshire has been at the heart of its success.

The Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside, including the Renfrew Bridge, has been a flagship project that has connected communities and unlocked access to jobs, education, health and leisure opportunities - in particular the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS), one of the most important developments in Renfrewshire's recent history.

The Glasgow Airport Investment Area has also boosted connectivity with new roads, bridges, and active travel routes, supporting the development of AMIDS.

It has provided the access required for world-leading organisations to locate here and bring with them high-quality jobs.

As we enhance connectivity to and from the area to the wider city region, we are already seeing the benefits of the new Renfrew Bridge and I look forward to seeing the impact it has for our local communities and businesses and its potential for future generations.
