The final four teams left in this year’s Paisley & District Darts League Cup met at Midton Bowling Club on Monday night to see who would lift the trophy.

- JOHN MCCULLOCH

And with four of the top five sides from Division One taking part, it looked like a feast of darts was on the menu.

The first semifinal was between Hashtag Bar and Pockets A, with the teams sitting in fifth and second, respectively.

It was Pockets A who were out of the traps first as James Kilday won the first singles game 3-1, however, Hashtag weren’t going to let that dent their ambitions and they promptly struck back through Jamie McCabe who won his match 3-1 to level the contest.

McCabe hit a 15-darter and a superb 156 finish in the game.

Pockets A took the lead again as Josh Leitch put in an impressive display with two 17-dart legs to win 3-0 and the lead was added to with John McCallum winning 3-2, and George Millar prevailing 3-1 which including a 100 checkout.

With Pockets on the brink of the grand final, it was the turn of Brian Maley to try to secure the spot for his team and, after a tense five-leg game, he came through with a 3-2 victory to ensure they made their first showpiece of the season.

The second semifinal was between the 13-time champions and current holders Hagg Bar A and Clachan Arrows.
