Williamsburgh Early Learning and Childcare Class (ELCC) was honoured with an invitation to attend His Majesty's Education and Skills Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

A right royal party for Williamsburgh

King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted the event to recognise those who have made an outstanding contributions to education and public service across the UK.

Alison Vandal, depute head teacher of Williamsburgh Primary School and ELCC and Jackie Small, depute head of Williamsburgh ELCC were amongst the 7,000 educators who were “honoured” attended the prestigious event.

Alison shared with Express: “It was such an honour to attend the garden party and to represent our team at ELCC.

“The event celebrated people's contribution to education and skills.

“Last year we had a very successful HMIe (His Majesty's Inspectorate of Education) visit which led to recognition by the authority.”
