A woman allegedly strangled her husband to death over a heated exchange of words between them at Mundamarai village under this police limits in Ganjam district Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Amar Naik, 40, and the accused Anjana Naik. A team from Dharakote police station rushed to the spot after the deceased’s elder brother Tuna Naik lodged a complaint Wednesday morning.

The police have detained Anjana and are interrogating her.
