Gadkari to inaugurate 84th Indian Roads Congress in City

Odisha is all set to host the 84th Annual Session of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC), making state the host of this prestigious event for the sixth time since IRC’s establishment in 1934. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and address the four-day conference, which will be held from November 7 to 10, 2025 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.
Speaking at a press conference, Odisha’s Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan highlighted the significance of the IRC session as a platform for knowledge exchange among experts and engineers in road infrastructure. He also announced that Odisha plans to construct 75,000 km of roads over the next five years, reflecting the state’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and modern infrastructure.
