200 drivers trained in road safety by BMC

In a bid to raise awareness on road safety, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Tuesday launched a driver awareness programme here at Unit-VIII. As part of the Zero Accident Day campaign, the initiative will continue till June 21, focusing on educating drivers about safe and responsible driving practices.
In the first phase of the programme, 200 drivers received training and awareness on road safety. Mayor Sulochana Das attended as the chief guest, while BMC Corporator (Ward 7) Samyata Mohanty was the guest of honour.
"Road safety is a collective responsibility," Das said adding, "I commend BMC for this initiative and urge all drivers to adopt safe driving practices."
