Wood at double in great start - but Nuno still keen for more

CHRIS Wood picked up where he left off last season to score two fine goals and delight manager Nuno Espirito Santo as Nottingham Forest got off to a flyer in this season's Premier League campaign, beating Brentford 3-1 yesterday.

Forest were 3-0 up by halftime and might have had more after the break.

Brentford's reply from the penalty spot after 78 minutes was a mere irritation.

Tougher tests will come, of course, but with Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson in fine form and a debut goal for Dan Ndoye to add to Wood's brace, the opening day could hardly have gone better for the Reds.

"I'm delighted," said Nuno.

"I think the way we started the game was amazing.
