Will Forest tee up a fresh bid for James after £25m rejection?

NOTTINGHAM Forest have had a bid rejected for Manchester City midfielder James McAtee.

The Reds have had their eye on the 22-year-old for some time. And they have now shown their hand as they look to strengthen Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.

An offer in the region of £25 million has been turned down by City, according to Sky Sports. A price tag of £35m had previously been placed on McAtee’s head, and it may be the Etihad Stadium outfit actually want more than that.

McAtee has a long list of admirers. Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt have been credited with an interest, and the England Under-21 international recently paid a visit to the latter as he assessed his options ahead of making any decision about his future.
