Tuchel full of praise for Elliot's start with England

THOMAS Tuchel has heaped praise on Elliot Anderson following a fine start to the Nottingham Forest ace's England career.

Even with only three caps to his name, a place in next year's World Cup squad already appears firmly in Anderson's grasp. Such has been the way he has taken to international football, the shirt is now his to lose.

Tuchel handed the 22-year-old his debut last month when he included Anderson in his first XI to face Andorra.

The Reds star has retained his place in the starting lineup since then and was set to earn his fourth cap in last night's World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

The midfielder’s performances for his country will not have come as a surprise to anyone who has seen him shine for Forest. For Tuchel, equally as important as what Anderson brings on the pitch is how he has contributed to the squad environment off it.

"First of all, he’s very talented. He has a certain edge," the England manager told ITV.

"He is like a tough midfielder. You don't want to fight with him. You don't want to make him angry on the pitch because he will fight back. This is good.
