Tom gunning for first Magpies goal after bright start

TOM Iorpenda has been thrust into a starting role from the off at Notts County following his loan move from Huddersfield Town this summer, and he is enjoying the responsibility.

The 20-year-old, like all loan players, came in search of game time, and he has got that with the Magpies under head coach Martin Paterson, who he worked with at Huddersfield Town while the latter was part of the backroom staff there last term.

He has started all nine League Two games for Notts so far, providing a couple of assists from an attacking midfield position. Being in the team has made it much easier to settle in at the club as a young loan player, with experience being the best teacher.

“I'm really enjoying it,” said Iorpenda.

“From the first day, I've been made to feel welcome and that has made it a more enjoyable experience for me so far.
