Restaurant or shop for retail park after King wins approval

COUNCIL APPROVES CROWN ESTATE APPLICATION
CHANGES to a retail park have been approved while its owner continues to try to fill a long-vacant unit with a new shop or restaurant.
An application to Gedling Borough Council by the Crown Estate, which owns Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield, suggest the units could soon house a new business.
Plans to allow the former Costa Coffee branch to be used as a restaurant or for another shop have now been approved by the council.
The chain closed its café in 2021 and relocated to another part of the retail park.
Planning agents for the Crown Estate, which manages King Charles' land and property, said the change would allow the vacant space to be occupied again.
