Out-of-control bonfire sparks call for clean-up of derelict pub site

CAMPAIGNERS have called on the owners of a derelict Stapleford pub to take action to secure the site after a bonfire sparked further concerns in the local community.

Fire crews were called to reports that the bonfire had become out of control after it was left unattended on the grounds of the Old Rock Pub on Monday. Councillor Richard MacRae, independent councillor for Stapleford North on Broxtowe Borough Council, spoke about wider issues at the site.
