NOTTINGHAMSHIRE Live and the Nottingham Post has been named Regional News Organisation of the Year for our efforts to hold public authorities to account and inform the public.

We were awarded the title at the Society of Editors’ Media Freedom Awards on Wednesday.

Nottinghamshire Live's campaigning and dogged reporting on major issues in the city and wider country proved decisive, with your local news team beating finalists Belfast Telegraph, Birmingham Live, Liverpool Echo, Manchester Evening News, and The Northern Echo.
