Nottingham's hospitals heading for £80m budget deficit

NOTTINGHAM'S hospital trust is set for a deficit of more than £80m after only achieving two-thirds of a multi-million pound savings plan.

The projected financial state of Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (NUH) by the end of this month was presented to trust executives in a board meeting last Thursday.

NUH, which runs Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital, is looking at an £80.6 million deficit in its budget by the end of the 2025/26 financial year.
