Knife victim is left with 'Joker-style' facial scar

A KNIFE attack victim has been left with “a Joker-style” scar on his face.

Nottingham Crown Court heard he was attacked by a group of three in Truman Close, St Ann's, on Boxing Day evening 2021.

In a victim impact statement the man said he “knows people will always judge me” for the scar on his face and feels he has been overlooked for jobs because of it.

He also fears that those who caused it then teenagers T'Arnie Simpson; former Derby County academy footballer Tyree Wilson and a third man who has never been identified could come after him again.

Recorder Stuart Sprawson said: “Mr Simpson, whatever the mitigation and whatever the circumstances, you deliberately carried a knife on this occasion and used it on a person, leaving him with a permanent scar. It was so close to his eye it could have blinded him and could have been so much worse.
