JACOB Badeau said that team cohesion has been key to Notts County’s defensive improvements this season.
Badeau’s summer arrival, along with other defenders, was part of a complete revamp of the Magpies in that area during pre-season, and the hard work that went into recruitment and preparing the team on the training ground has paid off.
The former Morecambe centre-back has been ever present for Notts as part of a back three this season, with fellow summer arrival Matty Platt and Lou Macari being the two he has featured alongside the most.
Also, Alex Bass had been a clear improvement on Notts’ goalkeeping options last term before coming out of the team recently due to injury. The aforementioned players have been vital to that improvement but Badeau was modest in saying everyone plays their part.
