It's back and bigger than ever: Your guide to Pride

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE Pride returns on Saturday - and organisers are promising an event “bigger and better” than ever before.

Bars, stages and a lineup of street food vendors are among the new additions to this year's LGBTQ+ celebration.

The event will be at Sneinton Market for a second year, with huge crowds expected after last year's 10,000-strong figure.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 event.

WHAT IS NOTTS PRIDE?

■Nottinghamshire Pride has been running for more than 10 years in its current format, but Pride celebrations in the city date back to 1997 when the Pink Lace event was held outside Broadway Cinema, Hockley.

The event was later held in various locations: outside the Castle, the Arboretum and the Forest Recreation Ground.

In 2012, Pride moved back to its original home of Hockley, but last year it was moved to Sneinton Market due to concerns around safety and overcrowding.

The free event is usually held in the last weekend of July, with live music and stalls in the city centre.

A parade always takes place, often starting at Lister Gate and traditionally ending in Hockley - this year it’s Sneinton Market.

WHERE WILL THE PARADE GO?
