Grab a kebab... if your hands are big enough!

IT’S a long, long time since I've had a late-night dirty doner kebab from a questionable shop after a tipsy night out on the town.

I don’t know if it’s still part of the culture as these days I'm tucked up in bed at 2am instead of stumbling around the streets dropping food on the pavement.

I’m still very partial to a kebab from time to time, though - and this week I found myself craving one while out and about in Sherwood.

For the record, it was 7pm and I had not been to the pub. My nose led me to Doner Stop, a new takeaway in Mansfield Road.

The bold yellow and black frontage can't be missed. Emblazoned on the window is a photo of a woman biting into a kebab with the slogan “once you start you can’t stop”. Promises, promises.
