Forty Years On aiming to keep unbeaten turf record

FORTY Years On bids to protect her unbeaten turf record and in the process bring more delight for George Scott when she makes a return from an extended break in the Ardonagh Group Handicap at Newbury.

The four-year-old has shown herself to be a versatile filly with wins on both good and soft over seven furlongs and a mile, with her only two defeats from five starts coming on the all-weather at Chelmsford and Southwell.

She is a half-sister to Dance Diva who won a Listed Carlisle race so has the pedigree to excel at this level and was only beaten three-quarters of a length on her debut at Chelmsford.

But it was when she turned her hand to the turf she really came into her own, with wins at Doncaster, Haydock and Ascot.
