MAHNOOR DIED AT QMC AFTER SHE WAS MOVED FROM DERBY

- RUCSANDRA MOLDOVEANU

Family's concerns over care of ‘miracle’ baby

Mahnoor Kaiser Shah while she was in hospital

A BABY'S parents are seeking answers about their daughter's care after the four-month-old died in hospital.

Mahnoor Kaiser Shah was born at Derby Royal Hospital on June 6, 2024, and died at four months old at Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham on October 10.

The baby girl was moved to the neonatal intensive care unit at Derby Royal after she was born due to breathing problems.

The Derby hospital then took the decision to refer her to the QMC on the paediatric intensive care unit and ward D35 due to the complication of the issues.

Mahnoor’s parents raised concerns about the care the girl received at QMC following her death, with the case now due to be investigated by a coroner.

The girl’s father, Syed Kaiser Abbass Shah, spoke of the family's heartbreak following the loss of Mahnoor.
