Family lose all possessions in blaze

A FAMILY lost all of their possessions in a fire that closed a busy road.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called toa block of flats on Ilkeston Road in Stapleford just after 9am on Wednesday following reports of a blaze. Within 60 seconds two fire crews and two station commanders were mobilised to the scene. When they arrived, they found the residential property heavily smoke-logged, with a fire in the kitchen.
