E-scooter rider attacked and robbed by six men in street

A NOTTINGHAM e-scooter rider was attacked and robbed by six men in the street.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how the gang confronted the victim in Radford, told him to "hop off" and then launched an assault on him.

The man who punched him first, 20-year-old Ryan Hamilton, then stole the vehicle and took it to his nearby home.

Having been remanded into custody for the past 140 days, he now has six months to stay out of trouble or risk being locked up again.

Deferring sentence until May next year and handing him bail, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: "The victim in this was simply going about his business, on his scooter, when he went down the wrong street and in no time at all was confronted by six people.
