Doctor who took indecent photos of girl, 5, loses appeal

AN anaesthetist who took indecent images of an unconscious five-year-old hospital patient committed "about as egregious a breach of trust as can be imagined", an appeal court judge has said.

Edward Finn, 37, who worked at hospitals in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, took pictures of the girl and an adult patient while they were anaesthetised under his care.

He also took indecent photographs of his wife while she was asleep, and of a three-year-old girl.

After pleading guilty at Nottingham Crown Court, Finn was sentenced in June last year to eight years in jail with an extended licence of four years.
