Council's new Reform leader tells workers not to worry

REFORM has told Nottinghamshire County Council staff that they have nothing to worry about after some of them were reportedly “in tears” when the party won control of the authority.

Mick Barton, the new leader of the Reform-run council, says it is too early to say how home working arrangements for staff could change as one councillor said employees are “in limbo".

Nigel Farage's party secured a convincing majority on Nottinghamshire County Council following elections on May 1. The party now has 39 councillors compared to 17 for the Conservatives and just four for Labour, with two-by elections due in the coming months to fill vacant seats.
