City student Dan hoping to break his own Glasto record

TEENAGER PLAYED SIX SETS AT LAST YEAR'S FESTIVAL

AN 18-year-old Nottingham student who played six sets at last year's Glastonbury Festival has been invited back for the third year running.

Dan Ottewell first played the famous Somerset music festival when he was eight, performing on a small stage as part of a kids band that had been set up by a school friend's parents.

That was 2015, and he said visiting the festival for the first time "didn't blow his mind, but rather nuked it".

Eight years later, in 2023, Dan made his first proper debut at Worthy Farm.

The musician, born and bred in Ashbourne, in Derbyshire, was invited back last year to initially perform five sets, becoming the first solo artist under 18 to be invited two years in a row in the festival's history.

However, even on top of this, he managed to squeeze in another performance, leaving the festival having played a total of six shows across different stages.
