Bar owner slams energy firm's 'ridiculous' bills

A BAR manager has slammed the “ridiculous” conduct of an underfire Nottingham energy firm after a dispute over ballooning bills led to a sudden £10,000 change.

Yü Energy, based off Mellors Way in Strelley, which supplies thousands of businesses across the UK, has been accused of unprofessional and unfair behaviour by another of its customers.

Paul Rowe, operations manager of the Tipsy Cow in Newcastle, said he had been left extremely frustrated with “silly” price increases and sudden court action by the supplier, which has been criticised by other customers in recent months.

Mr Rowe explained that while he initially had problems with Yü over his electricity bill, which resulted in him being put on a prepayment meter, the real problem surfaced in spring when the bar’s gas bill began to significantly rise.
