Ban on disposable e-cigs has been rushed, say vape shop workers

NOTTINGHAM vape shop workers say the Government's ban on disposable vapes has been rushed.

The ban, which came into force yesterday, makes it illegal for shops to sell or supply single-use vapes.

Fines of £200 are on the way for those not complying with the new rules, while sanctions could even extend to a prison sentence for repeated offending.

Lukas Stanway, 21, who works at Nottingham Haze on St James's Street in the city centre, thinks the ban will not hit businesses but believes that the new regulations have been rushed.

“I don't see the point of the ban because you're just swapping to rechargeable devices that can still be littered on the floor.
