Arrest over 'linked' street robberies

A WOMAN walking down the street was pushed to the ground and had her handbag stolen just minutes before a second robbery a few streets away.

Police were called to Haywood Street, Sneinton, at 8.20pm on Saturday to reports of a man pushing over a woman and running off with her handbag.

Minutes later a man claimed he was riding along the pavement on his mobility scooter when a male on a pedal bike went past and snatched his mobile phone from his hand.
