A 'new beginning' as Victoria Market trader moves on

THE owner of a long-standing business in the Victoria Centre Market says he is looking forward to a “new beginning” after leaving his pitch.
Nick Clark, the third owner of Cobblers and Keys, which had been at the market since it opened in 1972, has moved to a new location just yards away in the Victoria Centre.
Mr Clark had been one of the traders vocal in their anger about the way Nottingham City Council had handled the market's closure, but says the battle had become “all-consuming”.
Cobblers and Keys is now near the toilets on the upper floor of the shopping centre.
Mr Clark said: “It is a new beginning and it means we're able to get back to what we should be doing.
“It also means that Craig, who has worked for me for the past eight years, has still got a job.
“The council have been really supportive with the move in fairness to them.
