Tahawwur Rana's extradition: Delhi court recieves 26/11 Mumbai attack case files, documents

NEW DELHI: Crucial case files and trial court documents linked to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks have been transferred from Mumbai to Delhi's special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court, sources confirmed.

The documents have been received by the court staff working under District Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav. This follows Judge Yadav's directive issued in January, mandating that all original trial records pertaining to the 2008 attacks be relocated to the national capital.
The NIA, after placing Tahawwur Rana, a 64-year-old Canadian national of Pakistani origin and one of the key accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, under arrest from Palam airport. NIA is likely to seek Rana's custody for interrogation.
